29 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims die in KSA

A total of 29 Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims died of various reasons in Saudi Arabia since July 4. Of them, 26 were males and three females, according to a bulletin of the Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal under the Religious Affairs Ministry.
Of the 29 deceased 24 hajj pilgrims died in Makkah, while four in Medina and one in Jeddah, the bulletin said.
The latest recorded death was of Mojibur Rahman Khan, 63, hailing from Barishal district. He died in Makkah on Friday.
The bulletin said, a total of 112,606 Bangladeshi pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia till Friday to perform Hajj.
Of them, 105,690 went there under private management, while 6,916 under government arrangement.
The Hajj official added that four to five were below 60 years and others were above.
The first Hajj flight for Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh began on July 4. The Muslim pilgrims will start performing Hajj from August 10.
