Water levels in 28 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 43 stations recorded fall. Among the 83 monitored water level stations, nine river stations have been registered steady while all rivers are flowing below their respective danger marks, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Friday.
The Brahmaputra and the Ganges are in rising trend while the Padma, the Jamuna and the Megna are in falling trend. Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Friday.
A total of 89 mm were recorded at Teknaf, 71mm at Patuakhali, 54mm at Cox’s Bazar and 48 mm at Durgapur.
