279 JU students to get NST fellowship

A total of 273 students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) are going to get National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship.
The ministry of science and technology will award the fellowships to pursue the higher education under the project titled “Ministry of Science and Technology’s Research Aid Project.”
One hundred and seventy five students of them have been selected in the physical sciences category, 102 students in the biological and medical sciences category and two others students in the new category.
A number of 2446 students from different prestigious public universities have been selected for the fellowship.
President of JU Teachers’ Association (JUTA) Prof Laek Sazzad Andallah said, our students showed their excellence like the previous years. It will set an example that the teachers can play a pioneering role in building skilled human resources to keep pace with the world.
 “Besides, we hope our university will continue marching forward. And once it will be the centre of learning and research,” he added.
A group of JU students who have been selected for the fellowship said, our institution would create new generation of leaders and scholars in Bangladesh.
