Chittagong Bureau :
Chittagong Metropolitan Police rounded up 27 persons from different hotels of Foy’s Lake area in Khulsi on Monday evening.
The detained consists of 15 females and 12 pimps. They were arrested from Lake View and Sonali hotel after launching raid .
The detained were engaged with the unsocial activities , sources said. The detained pimps are – Zia, Sabuj, Shahidul, Zia Hasan, Abul Hasan, Md. Hasan, Jamir, Roni, Mannan, Jibon, Parvez and Sabuj. Deputy police commissioner of police of chandgaon zone Paritosh Ghosh led the drive duly directed by the newly joined Police commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondol.
Police sources said acting on secret information, police conducted raid in these two hotels and a chinese restaurant and rounded up them from objectionable positions . Owners and the managers of these hotels were not traced during the raid, sources said.
