Police, in special drives in 24 hours till yesterday morning, arrested 26 people on different charges from different areas of the district.
Police sources said, among the arrested persons, eight were held from Sadar upazila, 10 from Lohagara upazila, four from Kalia upazila and four from Naragati upazila.
Confirming the arrests, Police Super Sardar Rafiqul Islam said the arrested persons would be produced before courts today for the next course of action.
