250 distressed families get relief from Punak

Maintaining proper health guidelines Punak (Police Women’s Welfare Society) distributed relief and food stuffs to 250 families inside the Handball stadium on Friday night.
The government enforced strict lockdown across the country to prevent spreading of the Covid-19, but Punak led by its President Zeeshan Mirza took the exceptional initiative for providing foods among street children, homeless, destitute and helpless hungry people.
Social Welfare Secretary Touhida Nupur along with Deputy Commissioner of Motijheel Md Abdul Ahad handed relief bags having 5-kg rice, 3-kg potato, 1-kg pulse and 1-kg salt over to each helpless family.
The Punak started food distribution including cooked foods and relief items among street children, homeless, destitute and helpless hungry from July 4.
