Border Guard Bangladesh men on Friday morning arrested a total of 25 Bangladeshis including 10 women, three children and 12 men while they were going to India illegally, said BGB sources.
Lt Col Abdur Rahim, commanding officer, 23 Border Guard Bangladesh told New Nation that acting on a tip off the BGB personnel detained the Bangladeshis from Balurmath at Putkhali frontier under Benapole port police station while they were going to India on Friday mornig. The arrested hailed from Bagerhat, Narail and Gopalgonj districts.
They were handed over to Benapole port police station after filing a case.
