Staff Reporter :The Rapid Action Battalion [RAB] arrested 24 associates of ruling Awami League lawmaker Nizam Hazari [Frni-2] and recovered 11 firearms searching their vehicles at Lalpool area in Feni on Saturday evening. Of the firearms, there were four shotguns, five pistols and two LGs, RAB officials said.Meanwhile, the supporters of Nizam Hazari blocked different toads in Feni district including Dhaka-Chittagong Highway demanding release of the arrestees. According to local sources, the associates of Nizam Hazari was returning after attending a protest meeting yesterday following the Tuesday’s killing of Jubo League activist at Sonagazi. They were demanding arrest of MP Rahimullah [Feni-3] and burnt his effigy.
