Trained farmers Lutfor Rahman of Sultanhata village, Jamal Uddin of Biswaharigacha village, Abdur Razzak of village Aloya and Mohhammad Ali of village Jorkhali under Dhunut Upazila of Bogra district are fully solvent to cultivate hybrid verities of rice, maize, mustered, sunflower and verities kinds of vegetables farming by the project of BRAC Agriculture Farming and Food Security Programme with a view to achieving self-sufficiency in faming.
The main objectives of the Programme were to grow crops three times in a year using latest agricultural technology, selection of seeds, making ideal seedbed with fertilizer, planting sapling with line and logo method, irrigation in AWD method.
Producing more crops with low cost, till 2012-1015, BRAC provides training among 1976 farmers in cultivating Hybrid paddy in 938 acares of land of which average growing was 10mt per hectors of land.
BRAC helps the farmers giving financial and technological aid. Upzilla’s. Agriculture Extension Department helps BRAC to the execute project. Deputy Commissioner of Bogra, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Dhunot, Upzilla chairman, Agriculture officer visited the projects .
Basic training workshop on photography held
A three-day basic training workshop on photography for the urban areas journalists was held in the conference hall of Bangladesh Institute of Information Technology (BIIT) Bogra campus on Saturday afternoon. Deputy Commissioner of Bogra Md Asraf Uddin distributed certificates among the trainee’s journalists as chief guest. Md. Ali Ajgar Talikdar Hena, Shadar upazila chairman, Uttorer Khabar Editor Abdus Salam Babu, Photo Journalists Association of district unit General Secretary Thanda Azad, Photo Journalist Shafiul Azam Kamal, Bazlur Rashid Suit, Sakhawat Hoaasin Jony were present. A total 11 journalists of the rural areas were participated the 3-day training workshop. The Basic Training Workshop on photography for the urban areas journalists was organised by personal initiative of the upazila chairman for maximize the efficiency of the working journalists.
