The government has approved purchase of 206 more double cabin pickups for the Assistant Commissioners (AC) of Land to provide them transport facility.
Pragati Industries Limited, a state-owned company, will supply those vehicles at a cost of Tk 103 crore. The price of each vehicle has been quoted Tk 50 lakh.
The Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement
approved a proposal in this regard at its meeting on Wednesday, with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in the chair.
There are 511 posts of AC Land under the Ministry of Land. The government has already purchased 288 Mitsubishi L-200 sports double cabin pickups for them.
The Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement on November 8, in principal, approved procurement of cars for the remaining 223 Assistant Commissioners of Land.
In this context, the Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement approved the purchase of 103 more Pickups in Wednesday’s meeting.
