Chittagong City Unit of Awami League distributed 20 thousand saplings of different species of trees to the leaders and activists of the party .
City Mayor and general secretary of city AL AJM Nasiruddin distributed these saplings on Saturday at Shahid minar premises . On same day saplings were also distributed through 44 wards of the city .
The city mayor on the occasion of distribution ceremony emphasized the need for nursing the saplings properly for its growth. He said tree plantation is the social movement of the AL, he said. Ward councilor of all city wards were present on the occasion, sources said.
