20 pharma cos to lose license

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has decided to cancel the license of 20 pharmaceutical companies in line with the recommendations made by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Health Ministry.
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim gave the directives yesterday while presiding over a meeting with the officials of the Directorate of Drug Administration, an official release said here on Thursday.
“The minister asked the directorate to execute the decision fast,” it said.
Besides, the meeting in principle endorsed other recommendations of the Jatiya Sangsad body and implement those speedily after review.

General Mostafizur Rahman and senior officials of the directorate were present on the occasion.
Later, the health minister chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) under the ministry.
