20 more dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hours

Dengue patients increased in hospitals as at least 20 more such people were hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours till 8:00am on Thursday.
The latest figure taking the total number of officially hospitalised dengue patients to 381 since January 1.
Off the latest patients, only one person was hospitalised outside the capital city while the rest 19 were in the Dhaka city.
Data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said it.
The data showed that a total of 53, including 52 dengue patients were taking treatment in different hospitals of the capital.
The DGHS data also said that 29 patients were hospitalised in the two days of June, 163 in May, 23 in April, 20 in February and March each and 126 in January.
A pre-monsoon survey in April found a higher density of Aedes mosquito in Dhaka comparing with the mosquito density in 2021 and predicted a worsened dengue situation unless quick steps were taken. The survey were conducted by the DGHS.
