A total of 20 houses were gutted when a fire broke out at a labour colony in the city corporation area on Thursday afternoon. The fire broke out at a tinshed house and flare up within a moment, said Shaheen Alam, fire station officer of Gazipur.
“Local people doused the blaze,” the fire service official said, adding that the fire was originated from an electric short-circuit.
