Two youths met their tragic end and another was seriously injured when their motor cycle met a fatal accident on Khulna-Mongla Highway near at Piljanga under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district on Friday afternoon, according to a report received here. The deceased were identified as Tarikul Islam Lyton (27), son one Anwarul Islam of village Mahidia in Jessore district and Tuhin Shaikh (28), son of one Alamgir Hossain of village Krishnabatia under the sane district. They were killed on the spot. The injured is one Rana (28) was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment.
It is learnt from the police and the locals that on the day some nine young men left Jessore by three motor cycles in order to pay a visit to Mongla port in the morning. After the visiting the port they were returning afternoon to jessore and when they reached the place of occurrence boarders of one of the motor cycles collided violently with a strong rope with which an inactive mechanized 3 wheeler was being dragged out by another active mechanized 3 wheeler. As a result, heads of 2 motor cyclists were detached form their bodies and fell on the road and the other was seriously injured.
Being informed of the matter police rushed to the spot, received their decomposed dead bodies and sent the same to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
