Members of Detective Branch (DB) arrested two young men along with a foreign pistol at Shimrail in Siddhirganj upazila Thursday night.
Officer-in-charge of Narayanganj DB police Mahbubur Rahman said the detectives waylaid two motorcyclists, heading towards Dhaka from Rupganj upazila, based on secret information around 9 pm.
As the two motorcyclists-Jahangir Alam, 34, and Akhtar Hossain, 36, — tried to flee the scene, the law enforcers caught them forcibly and recovered a foreign pistol loaded with four bullets after searching their bodies, said Mahbubur Rahman.
