Police recovered the bodies of two young men from beside Kaliakair-Nabinagar Highway at Jirani in the city on Wednesday morning.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Sub-inspector Zakir Hossain of Chakrabarty police camp said they recovered the bodies around 7am from the highway.
However, police suspected that the victims might have fallen from the rooftop of the bus and died on the spot.
The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, the SI added.
