2 workers die after inhaling toxic-gas in Panchagarh

Two men died after inhaling poisonous gas, while working in a septic tank in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Bablu, 20, son of Alauddin from Mirgar area of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila and Mahbub, 30, son of Khairul, from Bakshigonj of the same upazila.
Two victims climbed down to open lid of a septic tank of Gamir Uddin’s house at Maligos village. With no reply from inside after a long while, the victims were recovered fainted, and taken to
Panchagarh Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared them dead, said Jahurul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Tentulia Model Police Station.
Toxic-gas might be the reason of the tragic death. The workers did not wait enough to let the gas out after opening it. The deceased could be blamed for their quick entrance into the tank, Tentulia Upazila Parishad Chairman Rejaul Karim Shahin told the media.
