Staff Reporter: Police on Saturday morning recovered bodies of two sisters from their Dakshin Goran residence of the capital Dhaka.
Officer-in-Charge of Khilgaon Police Station Moshiur Rahman confirmed the matter to journalists. He said that after getting information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of Alvi (10) and Jannat (12) from a four-storey building around 8:00am.
Police also rescued their mother, Arifunnesa Poppy, with burn injuries and sent her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
There were burn marks on different parts of the deceased’s bodies and their throats were slit, the OC said.
The OC also said that the father of the victim duo was in Munshiganj last night on business purpose.
