At least 11 more persons including five college student and a soldier of Bangladesh Army were killed and several others critically injured in separate road crashes across the country on Saturday.
In Khulna, two college students were killed when a bus rammed the motorcycle they were riding in Batiaghata upazila of Khulna on Saturday noon. The deceased were identified as Sohag Sheikh, 20, a student of Bagerhat Govt PC College and Shakil Sheikh, 21, a student of Jashore Govt MM College.
They were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) where Sohag and Shakil were declared dead by the doctors in the afternoon.
Rabiul Kabir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Batiaghata Police Station told the media that a case was filed over the matter.
In Thakurgaon, at least two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident between two trucks on Thakurgaon-Dinajpur Highway on Saturday.
Two of the deceased were identified as -Mofizur Rahman, 48, son of Muslim, hailed from Islambagh area of Thakurgaon municipality and Paresh Barman, 52, of Awliapur union of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila.
Thakurgaon Fire Service personnel recovered the bodies and sent them to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital for autopsy, said Mofidur Rahman, station officer of Thakurgaon Fire Service. In Rajshahi, a college student named Yusuf, 21, was killed in a road accident when a truck ran over him in front of Rajabari Youth Development Training Center in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi on Saturday morning.
The deceased Yusuf was an HSC 1st year student, son of one Afzal Hussain of the area.
Godagari Model Police Station OC Jahangir Alam told matter to media. In Sirajganj, a soldier of Bangladesh Army was killed in a road accident in Raiganj upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Deceased Atiqur Rahman, 36, worked at Ghatail Cantonment in Tangail as a soldier of army medical core. He hailed from Monoharpur village in Gaibandha district.
Hatikumrul Highway Police Station Officer in-Charge (OC) Abdul Quader Zilani confirmed the matter.
In Meherpur, a college student named Aktaruzzaman, 24, was killed in motorcycle accident in Gangi upazila of the district on Saturday noon.
Sajedur Rahman, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Gangi Police Station told the matter media.
In Laximpur, a local fish trader named Md Salim, 40, was killed when a pickup van rammed him in Raypur Upazila of the district. In Khorigram, a housewife named Samina Khatun, 33, was killed when a truck hit her in Roumari upazila of the district.

In Barishal, a primary school girl named Liza Akhter was killed when a truck rammed her in Hijla upazila of the district. Masudur Rahman, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Hijla Police Station confirmed the matter to media.
In Sherpur, a motorcyclist named Azim, 65, was killed when a pickup van rammed him in Zinaigati of the district.
Biplob Kumar Biswas, Officer in-Charge (OC) of Zinaigati police told the matter to media.
