Police arrested two sisters along with contraband Yaba pills from a Dhaka-bound launch in Sabujbag area of Amtali upazila recently. The arrestees were identified as Bithi Akhter, 22, wife of local drug dealer Mizanur Rahman, and her younger sister, a minor girl, daughters of Abdul Khaleque.
Sub-inspector of Amali Police Station Faisal Ahmed said Bithi and her husband had long been involved in drug business. During the anti-drug drive at the launch, Mizanur managed to flee, he said.
