Police arrested two alleged Shibir cadres along with fire arms in Demsha area under Satkania upazila of Chittagong on Tuesday night.
The arrestees are Hafez Amir Ahmed, 27, and Abdul Momen, 25, of Demsha area in the upazila.
Acting on secret information, police arrested the duo along with a homemade gun and two cartridges from the area around 10:30pm on Tuesday, said Farid Uddin Khondakar, officer-in-charge of Satkania Police Station.
There are about 10 cases against Ahmed in connection with subversive activities, the OC said, adding that Momen is the associate of Ahmed.
