UNB, Keraniganj :
Two suspected robbers were beaten to death by a mob in Dharmasur area under Keraniganj Model Police Station early Sunday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Quoting locals, Majibar Rahman, officer-in-charge of the police station, said local people caught the two robbers along with lethal weapons at about 2:00am while a gang of robbers, numbering 8/10, was preparing to commit a robbery in the area.
The villagers then gave them a severe thrashing, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the bodies in the morning and sent those to Mitford Hospital morgue for autopsy.
