Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested two suspected robbers along with arms and ammunitions from Jalaltali Beel in Ukhia upazila on Friday afternoon.
The arrestees were identified as M Shahjahan, 35, son of Matiur Rahman, and M Kamal Hossain, 19, son of M Ismail Hossain, hailing from Faliarpara village in Ukhia upazila.
Tipped off that a gang of four-five robbers were
taking preparation at Jalaltali Beel to commit robbery, a team of the elite force conducted a drive there and arrested the duo, said Major Ruhul Amin, of Rab-7 of Cox’s Bazar. The Rab personnel also recovered two shooter guns, thrre SBBLs, one machete, eight bullets and nine cartridges from the arrestees, said Major Ruhul.
