Two BGB men hurt in gunfight: 2 Myanmarmen held with 98,650 Yaba

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives arrested two Myanmar nationals along with 98,650 pieces of Yaba tablets after a gunfight with smugglers that left two BGB members injured with bullet in Teknaf upazila here early Sunday.
Commanding officer of BGB battalion 42 of Lt. Col. Abu Jar Al ZAhid said tipped-off that some smugglers along with huge amount of Yaba tablets were crossing Naaf River in a bid to enter Bangladesh from Myanmar, a BGB team conducted a drive in the area around 7am.
Sensing the presence of the BGB team, the smuggler gang fired bullets on them, leaving two BGB members-Sepoy Habibur Rahman and Habildar Lutfar-injured with bullets.
The law enforcers also fired gunshots which left Riadul Haque, 20, son of Sultan Ahmed Mangru Kawkhali Para in Myanmar and a suspected drug dealer, injured while his cohorts fled the scene.  
Later, the BGB men recovered three plastic wrapped small bags containing a total of 96,000 contraband Yaba tablets from Riadul.
The two injured BGB men were admitted to Teknaf Health Complex while the alleged smuggler, Riadul, was first taken to the same health complex and later shifted to district sadar hospital as his condition deteriorated.
BGB members in another drive arrested Nur Kamal,24, another Myanmar national, along with 2,650 pieces of Yaba tablets in Jadimora area of the upazila at around 2.00am on Sunday.
