2 Myanmar nat’l held with 70,000 Yaba tablets

UNB, Cox’s Bazaar :Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two Myanmarese nationals and recovered 70,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from their possession at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazaar early Tuesday.The arrested were identified as Rafiq, 18, and Abdul Amin, 30, hailed from Mongdu in Myanmar.A petrol team of BGB challenged the duo when they arrived at the bank of the Naf River in Naitongtara area from Myanmar illegally by a small boat around 6am.After searching, the BGB members recovered 70,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from their possession and arrested them.BGB battalion-42 commanding officer Lt Col Abu Zar Al Jahid confirmed the incident.
