Two more accused in the murder case filed in connection with the killing of Juba League leader Reazul Haque Khan Milky confessed to a Dhaka court admitting their involvement with the murder on Thursday.
The two accused are Chunnu Mia and Mahbubul Haque Hirok. Magistrate Amit Kumar Dey of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka recorded the confessional statements under Section
164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and passed order to send them to the jail.
On Wednesday accused Aminul Islam alias Habib and Sohel Mahmud made confessional statements as per law. Earlier accused Zahangir and Fahima Islam Lopa made confessional statements to a Dhaka court. So far, six accused made confessions in connection with the gruesome murder.
At mid-night on July 29, 2013, Milky was killed at Gulshan over establishing supremecy in the area.
The victim’s younger brother Major Rashidul Haque filed the murder case with Gulshan Police Station against 11 persons including deceased Zahid Siddiqui Tareque.
Milky, an Organizing Secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan (South) unit, died after being shot several times in the head in front of Gulshan’s Shopper World on July 3, last year. A closed-circuit camera of the shopping mall picked up the entire incident.
RAB had arrested a leader of the Juba League Dhaka Metropolitan (South) unit Zahid Siddiqui Tarek with injuries from a hospital. Tareque was also killed.
