Two minor boys were injured when a crude bomb exploded in the city’s Badda area on Monday during the 48-hour nationwide hartal, enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance.
The injured were identified as Fahim,8, and Yeasin,9. Locals said an unidentified man gave a bag, containing a tennis ball and two crude bombs wrapped in red scotch tape, to Fahim while he was playing with Yeasin in front of his house at Annandanagar around 08:30am.
The bomb went off when Fahim was about to bring the ball out of the bag, leaving the duo critically injured.
Critically injured, Fahim was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while Yeasin was admitted to a local private clinic.
