UNB, Satkhira :
Two minor cousins drowned in a pond at Kanaidia village in Tala upazila on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Riyad, 5, son of Ebadul Islam, and Rupali, 5, daughter of Mofidul Islam, both residents of the village.
Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Patkelghata Police Station, said the two minors slipped into the pond and drowned while playing on its bank in the afternoon.
Later, locals recovered their floating bodies.
