The bodies of two suspected militants were recovered from a house in Mirsharai upazila of Chittagong where RAB carried out a raid on Friday (Oct 5) on suspicion of militants might be hiding there.
RAB Legal & Media Wing Director Mufti Mahmud Khan made the disclosure at a press briefing around 11:15am. Yesterday .The RAB members raided the house in Sona Pahar area, a place located between BSRM Steel Mills in Zorargonj and Bariyarhat, since 9am.
An AK-22, three pistols, and five grenades were recovered from the hideout as the operation ended. Two battered dead bodies were found there, said Mufti Mahmud Khan Militants used the AK-22 in the Holey Artisan Café Attack in Gulshan, he added He further said the two deceased are males and members of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). However, the law enforcers had a shootout with the militant suspects who stayed at the house, from 1 am to 4amThe house owner, caretaker and several others were taken to the RAB custody for interrogration.
