Two high court lawyers were released on bail f rom Chitstagong central jail yesterday morning . These lawyers were arrested from Dhaka in August last for alleged involvement with the finance of a militant group.
These lawyers are Advocate Hasanuzzaman Liton and Adv Mahfuzur Rahman Bapan. Chittagong Jail super told that after receipt of necessary papers from court, these lawyers were released. Chittagong District & Session Judge Md Nurul Islam granted bail these lawyers allegedly accused in Banskhali thana and Hathazari thana case .
Counsel of the lawyers Advocate Abdus Sattar told that District judge granted bail on Monday but Barrister Shakila Farzana who was also arrested in same case was not granted bail. Following the allegations of militant group finance- Hamza Brigade these lawyers were rounded upfrom Dhaka on August 18 last, he said.
