Two motorcyclists, who were seriously injured in an accident on the Padma Bridge on Sunday evening, have died. The victims were identified as Alamgir Hossain, 24 and Md. Fazlu, 21.
After the incident, they were rushed to the Dhaka Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) where the duty doctors declared them dead around 11pm.
According to sources, both motorcycles were running at a speed of 105 km per hour. At one stage, they failed to control speed. As a result a truck ran over them, leaving the two seriously injured.
Alamgir Hossain was a motorcycle mechanic and Md. Fazlu was an expatriate. Both were the inhabitants of Dohar-Nawabgan in Dhaka.
