UNB, Feni :
An auto rickshaw driver and a woman riding it were killed when the vehicle was hit by a truck near Panchgachia in Feni on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Md Shakil, 20, from Momarispur village and Jesmin Akter,45, from Yakubpur village in Dagonbhuiyan upazila, said Md Abdus Samad, officer-in-charge of Mohipal highway police station.
Four other passengers of the auto sustained injuries in the accident. They were admitted to Feni General Hospital, he said.
The accident occurred around 12 pm when the Nokahali-bound truck collided with the auto rickshaw coming from the opposite side on Feni-Noakhali regional highway.
The two died on the spot, said the OC.
The vehicles have been seized and legal actions will be taken in this regard, said the OC.
