2 killed in city road crashes

At least two persons were killed in separate road crashes in the capital on Wednesday.
In the airport area, a passenger of a motorbike ridesharing service died while the biker got critically injured when a double-decker BRTC bus rammed the motorbike near the Airport intersection of Dhaka city on Wednesday.
The deceased was recognized as Nazmul Hasan, 32, an employee of a private telecom company.
Sharif Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Airport Police Station said that the incident took place approximately at 9:00am. The biker was coming from Dakshin Khan to
Mohakhalli area with the passenger. Police arrested driver and helper of that bus instantly.
Biker Mofijul Islam sustained injuries. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, the SI added.
At Banani, an unknown person (around 60) was killed when a train rammed him in the middle point of the Banani and Cantonment section in the capital city.
The accident took place on Wednesday. The victim had a white-black check shirt and checks lungi on the body.
Mohammad Rabi Ullah, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Dhaka general Railway Police Station (Kamalapur) said an unknown person died after a train hit him.
Police rushed to the spot instantly and recovered the dead body. The body had been sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
Attempt is going on to know the identity of the deceased ASI added.
