Two people have been killed in separate incidents in the city.
An unidentified man, aged around 50, was killed as he was hit by a bus in front of Gate-2 of Bangabandhu National Stadium at around 1:30am.
Contacted, sub-inspector Wahiduzzaman of Paltan Police Station said ASI Rezaul of Gulistan Ahad Police outpost rescued the unidentified man and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor pronounced him dead at about 2am.
In another incident, SI Shafique of Jatrabari police station rescued a 24-year-old youth with head injuries from under the Doyaganj
Railway Bridge at about 4:30 am. He was also rushed to the DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries at noon.
Contacted, SI Shafique said they were yet to be sure whether the youth was hit by any speedy vehicle.
