UNB, Benapole (Jessore) :
A farmer died after receiving snakebite at Khopdai village in Keshabpur upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Abul Hossain,60, a resident of the village.
Family members said a venomous snake bit Abul Hossain in hand as he tried to close a hole while watering his paddy field around 3:00pm.
Later, Abul Hossain died on way to hospital in the evening.
UNB from Rajshahi adds: A woman died after receiving a snakebite in Tanore upazila headquarters on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shamsun Nahar,24, wife of Rezaul Islam of the area.
Family members said a venomous snake bit Shamsun Nahar in leg when she was working in the kitchen around 10.00 am.
Later, she was rushed to Tanore upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
