Two construction workers were killed when a brick-laden tractor plunged into a roadside ditch at Palpara of East Shyampur in the capital on Friday morning.
The victims have been identified as Hanufa Akhter, 35 and Nazrul Islam, 45, police said.
Kadamtali Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdus Salam said that, the victims died on the spot when the tractor plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the steering around 7:00am. Firefighters rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from under the vehicle.
