Two people were killed and five others injured after an Easy Bike collided head on with a Jashore bound bus at Bhanga gate area in Avoinagor Upazila of Jashore on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam 30 son of Sabor Ali of Mosharhati village under Abhaynagar upazila and another Abdul 35 was the coal worker of the Upazila. The injured passengers were taken to Avoinagor Upazila Health Complex but as their condition deteriorated. Four injured persons were sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Abhaynagar Highway Police Station OC Mahmud Alam said the Easy Bike collided head on with the Jashore bound passenger Bus Rupsha Paribahan, which left Khulna at around 9:30 am today at Bhanga gate area. Two killed on the spot and five were seriously injured.
Upon receiving the news, police went to the spot and rescued 7 people including the driver of the easy bike and took them to the Upazila Health Complex.
Meanwhile, Faria Rahman, a doctor at the emergency department of Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex, said two killed on the spot five have been referred to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
