Police arrested two people along with 35 gold bars from Toll Plaza area in Daudkandi upazila on Saturday afternoon.
The arrestees were identified as Kafil Uddin, son of Obaidul Haque , hailing
from Dakhhin Kuhuma village in Chhagalnaiya upazila and Milon, son of Badsha Miah of Ashwadia in Sadar upazila of Feni district.
Abu Salam Miah, officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station, said being tipped off, police conducted a drive in the Dhaka-bound microbus from Feni in the afternoon and recovered the gold bars from their possessions.
