UNB, Chittagong :
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two people along with 22, 300 pieces of Yaba tablets from Kalamia Bazar in the city early Saturday.
The arrestees were identified as Abul Kalam, 47, son of Abul Kashem and Abdur Rahman, son of Makbul Ahmed in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
Tipped off, a team of RAB-7 launched a drive in the rented house of Kalam and Rahman in Kalamia Bazar area early in the morning and arrested them along with 22,300 Yaba tablets, said ASP Sohel Mahmud of RAB-7.
The crime buster also recovered Tk 7, 66, 500 in cash from their possessions.
The arrestees had been supplying Yaba to different points of Chittagong city taking those from Teknaf for long, Sohel Mahmud said.
A case was filed in this connection.
