Detective Branch (DB) of ChittagongMetropolitan Police (CMP) in a raid arrested two alleged drug traders with 20,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from city’s Chawkbazar area on Sunday night. The arrested were identified as Alamgir and Ayub. Police also recovered some cash money from their possession.
On a tip-off, a team of the DB conducted a raid in a rented house in Amirbug Residential area under city’s Chawkbazar Thana and arrested the drug traffickers with the yaba tablets kept inside sound boxes and other instruments.
said Babul Aktar, additional deputy commissioner of DB, CMP.”The arrested were running yaba business by renting three houses in the guise of transporting sound system and other instruments”, the DB officer added.A case was filed in this connection.
