Police here on Tuesday held two people as a schoolgirl was raped by one of her neighbours in Genda area of the Municipality.
The detainees were identified as Shahriar Jim, friend of the key accused and his father Liaj Uddin while the key accused Rabbi Mia is still on the run.
Victim’s family said the girl was playing in front of her home on Saturday when Rabbi took her at his friend Jim’s home and violated her.
Sub-Inspector of Savar Model Police Station Mahbubul Haque said victim’s father filed a case over the matter. The victim was sent to One-stop Crisis center of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for medical test, he said.
