A Sylhet court on Monday sentenced two men to life term imprisonment for killing a teenage boy in 2009.
The convicts — Jalal Uddin and Nur Miah of Gurkachi village — were also fined Tk 30,000 each in default to serve six months more in prison.
The court also jailed seven others — Ashab Ali, Tajul Islam, Hason Ali, Billal Uddin, Ator Ali, Kolim Ullah and Suruj Ali — to 10 year’s imprisonment and fined Tk 30,000 each.
According to the prosecution, Subhan Ihsan, 13, son of Abdul Karim of Gurkachi village was strangled by the convicts over previous enmity.
