The RAB-10 has arrested two drug dealers along with arms and heroin in Dhaka’s South Keraniganj. They were arrested in a raid in Jhilmil residential area of South Keraniganj on Saturday midnight.
The arrested men are identified as Md. Shaon Uddin (26) and Md. Saidur Rahman (19).
Major Obaidur Rahman, company commander of CPC-2 of RAB-10, said on Sunday that the operation was carried out in Jhilmil residential area of South Keraniganj from 1:15 pm to 2:20 pm on Saturday.
Two one-shooter guns, three cartridge bullets, 322 grams of heroin worth about Tk 32.20 lakh, a switchgear knife and two mobile phone sets were recovered from them.
He added from the interrogation revealed that the arrested were professional terrorists and drug dealers. They used to carry out terrorist activities including robbery, snatching and drug trafficking in Dhaka-Mawa Highway and Keraniganj and surrounding areas.
Regular cases have been filed against them with South Keraniganj police station, he said.
