The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday (Sunday) took into cognizance the charge sheet in the murder case lodged over the murder of former Principal of Eden Mohila College, Mahfuza Chowdhury Pervin.
Metropolitan Magistrate Saiduzzaman Sharif of the Dhaka CMM Court took into cognizance the chargesheet against two domestic-helps. They are: Rita Akhter alias Swapna and Ruma alias Reshma. They have already made confessional statements in the case. The other accused of the case- Runu Begum, who provided the two house-maids was discharged in the case.
Earlier, on July 21, the investigation officer in the case of New Market Police Station SI Alamgir Hossain Majumder submitted the chargesheet of the case to the court.
Police on February 10 recovered the body of Parvin from her Sukanya Tower flat at the Elephant Road in the city. Her husband Ismat Kader Gama filed the murder case with the New Market Police Station against three including the two housemaids.
Other accused Runu Begum was exempted in the case as the charges were not proved against her.
