Two construction workers were killed after falling from two separate buildings in the city on Friday. An unidentified body was also recovered from Hatirjheel area in the capital.
The victims have been identified as Abdur Rashid (40) at Bangshal and Mofizur Rahman (55) at Paltan areas.
Quoting the witnesses police said that Rashid fell from the top of a under construction seven-storey building in the Bangshal area at around 3:30pm.
Rashid was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) but the on-duty doctor declared him dead, he said.
The body was handed over to the relatives of the victim after the post mortem.
On the other hand, Mofizur fell from the top of a seven-storey building near the Jonaki Cenama Hall at New Paltan in the afternoon, witnesses said.
The man was sent to the DMCH, but the doctor declared him dead at around 4:45 pm on the day.
The DMCH’s Camp Officer-in-Charge (OC) ASI Bikash confirmed the news and said that Mofizur hailed from Sonagazi in Noakhali.
Meanwhile, Teajgoan Industrial Police recovered an unidentified body of a youth, 30, from Hatirjheel area in the city at around 9:00am on Friday.  
Teajgoan Industrial Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) said that they recovered the body from the Round Plaza area at Hatirjheel.
The identity of the victim could not be identified immediately, he added. The SI further said that the body had been sent to the DMCH’s morgue for the autopsy.
