Two children drowned in a pond at Walia village in Lalpur upazila on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Naim, son of Adam Sardar of the village and Afia. According to family sources, Afia, maternal cousin of Naim, came to visit her aunt’s house from Rajshahi in the morning. Naim along with his cousin went to the pond to take bath and drowned.
