Two suspected cattle lifters were killed and another was injured in a lynch-mob attack at Madarhat in Pirganj upazila early yesterday.
One of the deceased was identified as Raju, hailing from Shibganj upazila of Bogra.
Harunur Rashid, Officer-in-Charge (investigation) of Pirganj Police Station, said a gang of thieves entered Madarhat area in a bid to steal cow around 3:30am.
Sensing the presence of the thieves, locals chased the thieves and caught three of them.
