Two cases were filed with respective police stations in connection with the killing of three youths in Panchlaish and Doublemooring thana in the city yesterday night.
Police also arrested four persons – Sajib, 20, Faruk Hossain, 21, Sagor Mia, 19 and Mohrrom Ali, 18, suspecting their involvement with the incidents.
Jahir Uddin, a relation of the victims of double murder at Hamzerbag area filed a case with Panchlaish thana against 10 to 12 persons last night, Raju Ahmed, Second officer of Panchlaish thana said.
Panchlaish thana police recovered two bodies of Mizanur Rahman, 20, and Yasin, 18, who they say were killed in a clash between two local groups of people over a love affair at Shanti Colony area under Hamzerbag area at 9 pm last night. Babul Mia, father of victim Sagar Mia filed a case against 15 to 16 people with Doublemooring thana last night. Sagar was stabbed to death by a group of youths at Postarpar area in the city at 8 pm last night.
Four ‘human traffickers’ held : Members of a mobile court on Monday arrested four suspected human traffickers from Shah Amanat International Airport and fined.
The arrestees were identified as Ashrafur Rahman, 25, hailed from Khulna, Monir Farazi, 35, hailed from Madaripur, Harun Sikder, 38, hailed from Tangail and Abdul Halim, 41, hailed from Bhrahmanbaria.
Tahmilur Rahman, Executive Magistrate of District Administration confirmed the news.
