Police recovered a slaughtered body of a young man and strangulated body of an unidentified woman from two places of Gabindaganj upazila on Sunday night.
Abdus Salam, in-charge of Bouragirhaat police investigation center said police recovered a slaughtered body of Md Shipon, 21, from Loyarpara village of the upazila around 7pm.
He said locals spotted the body in his room and informed the police.
Later police recovered it.
Abdus Salam said the police suspect that miscreants might slaughter Shipon with sharp weapon while he was anole at the home.
Motives behind the killing could not be known immediately he added.
Mujibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Gabindaganj Police Station said locals spotted a strangulated body of an unidentified woman at Katakhali Haowakhana area on Dhaka-Rangpur Highway and informed the police.
Later police recovered the body around 9:45pm.
Police suspect that the woman might have been kill in another place and spotted here. The woman was wearing Burqa and red-sharee, the OC added.
